FOR THE 6th
“FLANDERS
BASKETBALL TROPHY” Ghent,
Belgium – August 23rd and 24th, 2008 The
biggest international basketball-tournament in the BENELUX !! Dear
friends, Last
August, 124 teams of 25 countries and 95 referees of 18 countries have
participated the 5th Flanders Basketball Trophy in Ghent.
Because of the success of this event (that has become now the biggest
basketballtournament in the
BENELUX), of course we will organize the 6th
F.B.T. again on August 23rd and 24th 2008. Our
organization would like to invite your club into this tournament. We offer
: 16
sportscentres with 34 excellent basketballcourts 28
hotels in 5 different categories 250
volonteers of 12 local basketballclubs Normal
games : 4*8 minutes, stopclock, 24-seconds 5
games each (3 on Saturday – 2 on Sunday) 2
official referees for each game ! All

If
you want to stay some extra days before and / or after the tournament,
we’ll be glad to help you to arrange extra friendly games against local
teams of your level. As
we did last August, we will invite many foreign referees
again and it’s our ambition to host 110 to 120 referees (cfr. 90 refs in
2007). Referees can apply also via our website (go to “referees”). Our
organization will pay all costs of the hotel + all meals from Friday
evening (22.08.2008) until Sunday evening (24.08.2008) or Monday morning
(25.08.2008). Next year, all referees will be hosted in 2 hotels of
category 1 (Campanile and Holiday-Inn UZ Ghent). This
year, 2 extra groups will be added at the tournament : Mens
wheelchair basketball (max. 6 teams) Mens
1st division teams (max. 4 teams) The

maximum of 124 teams can participate the F.T.B. 2008. If
you have any specific questions, please don’t hesitate to take contact
with us. Last
August 2007, some teams from ESTONIA have participated the F.B.T. in
